Damien Comolli sheds light on Vlahović’s future and provides updates on Kolo Muani transfer talks
Dusan Vlahovic looks increasingly set to remain at Juventus, with Damien Comolli confirming that the Serbian striker will stay in Turin despite ongoing speculation over his future.
The 24-year-old, who is contracted with the club until June 2026 and earns an estimated €12 million per season, is reportedly content to continue his career at Juventus under the management of Igor Tudor. This decision comes despite significant transfer links throughout the summer.
Comolli addressed the situation following the Champions League draw, stating, “There is no friction between us and Dusan. He is part of the team and 99% he will stay with us for the entire season. There were contacts with several clubs, but nothing beyond that. I believe the player himself is also happy to remain.”
The outcome of Vlahovic’s stay presents two long-term scenarios for Juventus: the club could face the risk of losing him on a free transfer in 2026, or they may enter into negotiations for a contract renewal in the coming months to secure his future and protect their investment.

With Vlahovic’s future seemingly resolved, Juventus’s focus has shifted to other transfer targets. The club has been in prolonged negotiations with PSG for striker Randal Kolo Muani. While an agreement has been reached with the player, the two clubs have yet to finalize a deal.
Comolli expressed caution regarding the pursuit, citing the club’s financial situation and Financial Fair Play regulations.
“We had talks with PSG, but nothing advanced. Many things can happen before Monday. We must be cautious because of our financial situation and the constraints of Financial Fair Play,” he stated, adding that “every euro counts.”
He also confirmed that the club is satisfied with its current striking options, which now include Vlahovic and Jonathan David, a recent free transfer from Lille.
Should Juventus withdraw from the Kolo Muani negotiations, the club could redirect its resources to other areas of the squad. The recent departures of Timothy Weah, Alberto Costa, and Samuel Mbangula have created a need for depth on the wings.
Under Igor Tudor, the squad currently has only a limited number of wide options, including Andrea Cambiaso, Filip Kostic, João Mário, and Nico Gonzalez.
Furthermore, if Gonzalez is utilized as a wing-back, the attacking midfield line would be left with a lack of depth, with only Francisco Conceição and Kenan Yildiz as available options following Teun Koopmeiners’ move to a deeper role.
