Newcastle United considering move for Juventus star

Newcastle United are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Serbian forward Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus this summer.

The Magpies have emerged as one of the Premier League clubs interested in acquiring the talented striker, whose contract at the Allianz Stadium will soon enter its final year.

Vlahovic, who made the switch from Fiorentina to Juventus in 2022 for a reported fee of €75 million (£62.8 million) including add-ons, has struggled to fully establish himself in Turin.

With Randal Kolo Muani’s recent arrival on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, the Serbian international has found his playing time significantly reduced.

According to TVPlay (via Givemesport), Juventus are now open to letting him leave and are reportedly seeking around €25 million (£21 million) for his services.

The 25-year-old striker, who earns approximately £310,000 per week, has contributed 55 goals in 134 matches for Juventus, including 14 in 33 appearances this season. Despite his potential, he has only made one Serie A start in 2025 due to increased competition within the squad.

Newcastle could be in the market for a new striker, with Alexander Isak attracting attention from top Premier League clubs.

The Swedish forward has been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool, and should the Magpies decide to part ways with him, they are expected to demand a club record fee potentially reaching £120 million.

However, Newcastle are also eager to extend Isak’s contract to keep him at St. James’ Park.

Should the Magpies make a serious approach for Vlahovic, they would be securing a player who has showcased his talent on big stages. The Serbian striker has found the net six times and provided two assists in 16 Champions League appearances during his career.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Newcastle’s pursuit of Vlahovic will likely depend on their ability to balance financial considerations and squad reinforcements.

Juventus, on the other hand, are already assessing potential replacements, with Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee and Jonathan David among their targets.

Newcastle fans will be eager to see whether their club will make a concrete move for Vlahovic as Eddie Howe looks to strengthen his squad for the upcoming season.
