Juventus have received a major boost in their bid to sign Fiorentina defender Dodo, as the Viola appear ready to let him go following failed contract negotiations.

The Brazilian right-back, who has drawn attention for his consistent performances and attacking flair, has been a key target for Juventus as they look to reinforce their defensive line ahead of the new Serie A season.

Fiorentina had been eager to keep Dodo and offered him a new deal. However, despite early signs of progress, talks between the club and the player have reportedly stalled.

Fiorentina are now prepared to sell the 26-year-old if no agreement is reached soon.

The club has placed a €25 million price tag on Dodo, a figure considered within reach by Juventus management.

New Juventus manager Igor Tudor has identified the right-back position as a priority area this summer. He views Dodo as the ideal player to strengthen that role, given his Serie A experience and attacking contributions.

With Fiorentina now open to offers and the player’s future in Florence uncertain, Juventus are expected to increase their efforts to secure a deal quickly before other clubs join the race.

Since joining Fiorentina, Dodo has become one of the league’s most reliable full-backs. His energy, overlapping runs, and defensive work rate have made him a standout in Serie A.

Juventus believe his style fits perfectly into Tudor’s plans, and they are now weighing whether to meet Fiorentina’s asking price or negotiate a reduced fee.

With the summer transfer window heating up, Juventus will likely act fast to avoid losing out. If they manage to land Dodo, it would be a significant step in strengthening their backline for the 2025–26 campaign.
