Juventus have emerged as serious contenders in the race to sign Yeremay Hernandez, the talented winger from Deportivo La Coruña, after the player turned down advances from Serie A rivals Como 1907.

The 21-year-old Spaniard has been attracting attention across Europe following an impressive season in the Spanish second division.

Among the first clubs to show interest was Como, with former midfielder Cesc Fabregas personally involved in efforts to bring the youngster to Italy. Fabregas reportedly hoped Hernandez would continue his development under his tutelage at Como.

However, despite the club’s eagerness and formal offers, neither Hernandez nor Deportivo responded to Como’s approach. This lack of communication ultimately led Como to pull out of the race and redirect their attention to other targets.

With Como now out of the picture, Juventus are preparing to take full advantage. According to  the Bianconeri have been closely monitoring Hernandez for months and are expected to ramp up efforts to secure his signature before the new season kicks off.

Hernandez is viewed as a player with high technical ability, tactical awareness, and the versatility to thrive in Serie A.

Juventus believe he fits perfectly into their long-term strategy of building a squad with both experienced leaders and high-potential youth.

The Turin-based club is optimistic that their strong reputation, European pedigree, and focus on nurturing young talent will appeal to Hernandez. With minimal competition at this stage, Juventus are in a favorable position to finalize a deal.

If completed, this transfer would reflect the club’s commitment to future-proofing their squad   a clear move in line with their ambition to stay competitive both domestically and in Europe.
