Juventus to reattack Fikayo Tomori after Arajuo failure

Juventus are in desperate need of a centre back after Bremer suffering an ACL injury at the start of the season. As well Juventus lost three centre backs before the start of the season (two on loan and one on a permanent basis)

Juventus had a lot of targets in the window to help fill the position and the most recent was Ronald Arajuo. He had said yes to Juventus and didn’t want to stay at Barcelona until the Spanish Super Cup final on Sunday when he was subbed in at the 28th minute for Inigo Martinez.

Martinez picked up an injury during the game and he is set to be out for five weeks, initially it looked that Arajuo would still leave and join Juventus. But, ever since Deco the sporting director of Barcelona has convinced to stay.

Now Giuntoli and Motta have to move towards a new target to fill the centre back role. They are set towards Fikayo Tomori from AC Milan. Juventus are coming back after Tomori after they were shut down by new AC Milan contact Sergio Conceicao.

Cristiano Giuntoli will re-open talks with Milan and Tomori agents this weekend as Juventus plays AC Milan in Turin. The deal will be a loan to buy from Milan with an obligation to buy. The loan fee will be 5 million euros for the rest of the season. The obligated fee will be 20 million euros and there will be another 5 million in bonuses to make the entire deal 30 million euros.

Tomori could be inclined to join Juventus because his former centre back partner Pierre Kalulu is now at Juventus. They have previously worked together and could help him blend it at Juventus. As well Milan to Turin is just under a two-hour drive so he doesn’t have to uproot his life completely.
