Kylian Mbappe backed player chooses Juventus instead of Manchester United
Manchester United continue their search for a reliable striker, but one of their top targets, Randal Kolo Muani, reportedly still prefers a move to Juventus, despite strong interest from the Premier League side.
According to trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Paris Saint-Germain forward, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus, is keen to return to the Turin-based club.
The 26-year-old Frenchman is no longer part of Luis Enrique’s plans at PSG and is available for transfer this summer.
The Red Devils have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford this summer.
While both are exciting additions, neither are traditional number nines, which leaves a clear gap in Erik ten Hag’s front line.
Last season, Rasmus Hojlund struggled with consistency, while Joshua Zirkzee also failed to impress in the striker role.
However, Zirkzee found success when shifted into an attacking midfield position by manager Ruben Amorim before injury ended his campaign.
Randal Kolo Muani made his name at Eintracht Frankfurt before moving to PSG, where he was praised for his all-around ability.
Kylian Mbappe once called him a “very complete” striker a glowing endorsement from one of the game’s biggest stars.
Despite interest from English clubs, including United, Romano reports that the French forward is focused on rejoining Juventus, who are reportedly offering a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
While Manchester United are not the preferred destination, things can change quickly in the transfer market. If the deal between Kolo Muani and Juventus falls through, United could be ready to pounce.
For now, fans at Old Trafford will have to wait and see if the club can convince the Frenchman to change his mind or if they’ll have to look elsewhere to solve their striker puzzle.
