Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic was subjected to serious threats from a single fan during the aftermath of the 2-2 draw against Venezia.
While the team received boos and protests from the South Curve, Vlahovic was singled out with particularly harsh insults and, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, even death threats.
The incident occurred as the players approached the fans after the match. Tempers flared, with Vlahovic reacting to the abuse, leading to further discontent among the supporters.
Some teammates, notably Danilo, attempted to de-escalate the situation. The Digos police are now investigating the incident, examining stadium footage to identify the individual responsible for the threats.
The day after Juventus-Venezia, Vlahovic returned to the episode by sending a message to the Juventus fans, trying to clarify his point of view and above all to try to overcome the disagreements.
“I understand the frustration with recent results and you have every right to express it,” he said.
“I have always respected you giving my all for the shirt and I thank you for the support you give us daily. Now it is important to continue supporting and restart TOGETHER. Until the end.”
The next opportunity for fans to show their support for Vlahovic will be tomorrow evening when Juventus face Cagliari in the Coppa Italia round of 16. The match will serve as a test of the atmosphere surrounding the striker.
