Cristiano Giuntoli’s tenure as Juventus’ sporting director has concluded following a series of underwhelming performances and strategic disagreements within the club’s hierarchy.
The decision, reportedly finalized after a tense meeting with CEO John Elkann, marks the end of Giuntoli’s two-year stint aimed at revitalizing the Bianconeri’s sporting project .
Giuntoli, who joined Juventus in 2023 after a successful period at Napoli, was instrumental in bringing Victor Osimhen to the Italian league.
His departure casts uncertainty over Juventus’ pursuit of the Nigerian striker, who had previously expressed interest in reuniting with Giuntoli in Turin. The club is now navigating a significant restructuring phase.
Former Toulouse president Damien Comolli is expected to assume a leadership role, while Juventus legend Giorgio Chiellini is anticipated to take on increased responsibilities within the organization .
