Arsenal have been dealt a setback in their pursuit of Juventus star Kenan Yildiz, as Fabrizio Romano reports that the Italian club are determined to keep him and offer a new contract.

The 20-year-old forward has been one of Juventus’ standout players this season. Playing mainly as a second striker, Yildiz has scored two goals and provided four assists in just six matches.

His strong performances have attracted attention from top clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

Earlier this month, reports claimed Arsenal had begun early talks with his representatives. However, Romano has made it clear that Juventus have no plans to sell.

“His deal already runs until 2029, but Juventus want to raise his salary and protect his future. Yildiz has shown great love for Juventus, and if he wanted to join the Premier League, he could have done so in the summer. Chelsea and Arsenal like him, but Juventus are confident of keeping him,” Romano explained.

Transfer expert Graeme Bailey also confirmed that Yildiz is untouchable.

“Yildiz is the key player for Juventus. He loves the club, they love him, and he is the last player they would consider selling,” Bailey told Arsenal Insider.

Since joining Juventus from Bayern Munich in 2022, Yildiz has made 50 appearances, scoring 18 goals and providing 15 assists. He is now seen as one of Europe’s brightest young stars.

For Arsenal, this means their dream of signing Yildiz will have to wait, as Juventus are fully focused on building their future around the Turkish talent.
