Atlético Madrid star targeted by Juventus in january swap plan

Atlético Madrid could be active during the January transfer window as Diego Simeone looks to fine-tune his squad for the second half of the season. While the club is expected to strengthen at left-back following the departure of Javi Galán, changes in attack are also being discussed behind the scenes.

Giacomo Raspadori, who only joined Atlético from Napoli five months ago, continues to be linked with a possible exit after struggling for consistent minutes. However, he is not the only forward attracting interest, as Alexander Sørloth remains on the radar of several European clubs.

The Norwegian striker has scored six goals this season and has become a regular starter alongside Julián Álvarez. His importance to Simeone has not gone unnoticed, but Juventus believe a deal could still be possible this month. the Serie A giants are considering offering Jonathan David as part of a potential swap deal.

David, who attracted interest from Atlético before joining Juventus last summer, has failed to replicate the form he showed at Lille. His struggles in Italy have led Juventus officials to consider moving him on, with Atlético previously seen as admirers of the Canadian forward.

Despite the speculation, Atlético Madrid are not actively looking to sell Sørloth in January. The club would only consider a deal if an exceptional offer were to arrive, with his valuation believed to be between €35–40 million.

Having impressed during his 18 months at the club, Sørloth remains a key part of Simeone’s plans, and Atlético see little reason to part ways with him before at least the summer transfer window.
