Why did Yildiz exit at halftime

One of the missing protagonists in Juventus-PSV was undoubtedly Kenan Yildiz, who had a rather anonymous performance.

The Turkish number 10, starting on the left side in a 4-2-3-1 formation, struggled to make an impact in the first half, failing to showcase his qualities in the first leg of the Champions League playoffs.

His performance in the opening 45 minutes was lackluster, and at halftime, his match effectively came to an end.

According to IlBianconero, Thiago Motta decided to replace him at the break, bringing on Samuel Mbangula for the second half—a move that proved to be decisive in determining the final result.

Kenan Yildiz’s match against PSV ended after just 45 minutes. Despite starting the game, the Turkish forward failed to shine against the Dutch side and remained in the locker room after halftime.

The reason? As reported by IlBianconero.com, there were no physical issues forcing Thiago Motta to take him off. Instead, it was purely a tactical decision a choice that ultimately had a crucial impact on the game’s outcome.
