Juventus target free agent as Vlahović replacement

Juventus are preparing for life after Dusan Vlahović, with Canadian striker Jonathan David emerging as their top target to lead the attack next season.
Vlahović’s future at the club is becoming increasingly uncertain, despite ongoing talks for a possible contract extension.
The Serbian striker is currently part of the squad at the FIFA Club World Cup, but Juventus are reportedly open to selling him if the right offer arrives.
AC Milan are reportedly leading the race to sign Vlahović, with a potential reunion on the cards with former Juventus manager Max Allegri.
However, Juventus are hesitant to strengthen a direct Serie A rival and are hoping to attract interest from foreign clubs instead.
Jonathan David is currently the most realistic option to replace Vlahović. The Canadian international is available on a free transfer after leaving Lille at the end of his contract, making him a financially attractive choice.
David’s proven goal-scoring record in Ligue 1 and his availability without a transfer fee have made him a priority target for Juventus. He is already in talks with several European clubs, but no deal has been finalized yet.
Juventus see David as a striker who could fit well into their system and contribute immediately while also aligning with the club’s longer-term plans. His experience in European competition and technical abilities make him a strong candidate to lead the line.
Bringing him in would allow the coaching staff to integrate him fully during pre-season, giving the team stability and preparation in case Vlahović departs.
The situation remains fluid, with Juventus continuing to assess all options. However, signs are growing that a major change in their forward line is coming and Jonathan David may just be the answer.
