An AC Milan defender is being targeted by Juventus as part of efforts to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

Following Saturday’s 2–2 preseason draw against Reggiana, the need for additional defensive reinforcements was made apparent—both to fans and, likely, to the club’s leadership.

Discussions between Juventus and AC Milan had already been initiated prior to the match, largely due to Milan’s interest in Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović.

The midfield has been significantly bolstered with the arrivals of Samuel Ricci and Luka Modrić, while Ardon Jashari of Club Brugge is reportedly close to completing a move as well.

With midfield depth addressed, Milan have shifted their attention to the attack, identifying Vlahović as a viable option.

The striker’s expiring contract and previous experience under Allegri have made him an attractive target, both tactically and financially.

As negotiations progressed, the possibility of a swap deal was introduced, aimed at benefiting both clubs in terms of squad balance and financial efficiency.

This has led to the inclusion of Malick Thiaw in the discussions, as Juventus continue their search for defensive reinforcements.

According to transfer expert Matteo Moretto, Milan have set a valuation of €30 million for Thiaw. Given that Vlahović is currently valued between €15 million and €25 million, Juventus would likely need to offer additional compensation to finalize the exchange.

However, the Turin-based club is reportedly open to such terms if it facilitates Vlahović’s departure and secures a much-needed defensive addition.
