Inter Milan are actively pursuing attacking reinforcements this summer, with Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman emerging as the club’s top priority.

Inter have opened talks with Atalanta and are ready to present a €40 million offer for the Nigerian international.

However, Atalanta are holding firm on a valuation closer to €50 million. Despite this gap, Inter remain optimistic, relying on a previous understanding with the player that he would be allowed to leave if a major offer came in.

In case the Lookman deal collapses, Inter have already lined up alternative options. Among them, Juventus winger Nico González stands out as the most concrete alternative.

The Argentine, who can operate as a winger, attacking midfielder, or second striker, is reportedly valued at €30 million by Juventus, who are looking to avoid a financial loss following a season in which he saw limited minutes under coach Igor Tudor.

Despite his reduced role, González remains a sought-after talent, especially for his versatility and Serie A experience. Inter have placed him on standby and continue to monitor the situation closely.

Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho has also been proposed to Inter, but his high price tag presents a significant obstacle. As a result, González appears to be the more realistic and financially viable option.

Inter’s approach remains pragmatic: secure Lookman if the terms are right, but pivot quickly to González if negotiations falter.

The club’s determination to strengthen its frontline suggests further developments could occur in the coming days.

Juventus are reportedly open to selling Nico González if their €30 million demand is met. With Saudi club Al-Ahli also showing interest, Inter may need to move quickly if they want to secure his services ahead of rival suitors.
