Juventus have officially missed out on long-time defensive target David Hancko, with the Slovakian international opting to join Al Nassr in a deal reportedly worth over €30 million.

The Italian giants had been monitoring the Feyenoord defender since last year and nearly signed him during the January transfer window.

Despite advanced negotiations, no deal was reached, and Hancko stayed in the Netherlands for the rest of the season.

His consistent performances in both the Eredivisie and Champions League drew interest from several top European clubs, including Atletico Madrid and Juventus, both of whom had been expected to launch formal bids this summer.

In recent weeks, Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr emerged as a serious contender. With their strong financial backing and growing appeal  especially with Cristiano Ronaldo already at the club  Hancko showed increasing openness to the idea of playing in the Saudi Pro League.

The deal has now been finalized, ending Juventus’ hopes of adding the 26-year-old defender to their squad.

While this is a clear blow to Juventus’ transfer plans, sources close to the club indicate that they are not in panic mode.

The club believes they already have solid depth in their defensive line and won’t rush into a replacement signing.

Still, Hancko’s versatility and Champions League experience would have been a significant asset as Juventus look to rebuild and compete at the highest level in Europe.

With Hancko no longer an option, Juventus will now redirect their efforts toward reinforcing other key areas of the squad.

The focus remains on building a balanced team capable of competing both in Serie A and in European competitions.
