La Liga giants Atlético Madrid are reportedly exploring a potential summer swoop for Juventus winger Nicolás González, according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

With the Spanish side eager to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season, González has emerged as a serious option.

Despite already completing the signing of Thiago Almada, Diego Simeone and the club’s management are keen on adding more depth to the forward line.

The club had initially identified Ademola Lookman of Atalanta as their top target, but with the Nigerian international leaning toward a move to Inter Milan, Atlético have shifted their focus. In this context, Nicolás González is now seen as a viable alternative.

Di Marzio reports that Atlético are monitoring the situation closely and could make a multi-million-pound offer for the Argentine, who impressed last season with Juventus.

González has also attracted interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, but the 26-year-old winger is reportedly more inclined to remain in Europe to continue playing at the highest level.

González, who joined Juventus from Fiorentina in 2023, scored several key goals during the 2024–25 Serie A campaign, including a standout performance against Udinese in May.

His versatility on the wing and ability to contribute both goals and assists make him an attractive prospect for Simeone’s side.

Whether Atlético can convince Juventus to part ways with the Argentine remains to be seen, but the interest is real, and a summer transfer battle could be on the horizon.
