Timothy Weah ruled out for the rest of 2024

Timothy Weah is set to be sidelined until the start of 2025 due to a low-grade hamstring lesion on his right side. The injury came during Juventus, Coppa Italia matchup with Cagliari. This means the injury could have been hurt before the game because Weah only played nine minutes in the cup tie.

His injury means that he misses at least two Serie A games against Monza and Fiorentina. Weah is aiming for a return on January third against AC Milan in the SuperCoppa. But this could be difficult as well for Weah.

If Weah was picked for the SuperCoppa it would have to be at the end of this year. This is because all the games are now played in Riyad, Saudi Arabia. This means that the team will likely have to travel a few days before the game to be ready.

Weah would have to pass a fitness test early so he can travel to Saudi Arabia. If he doesn’t play in that game Milan and potentially the final, he wouldn’t be able to make an appearance until January 11th against Torino away.

However, his injury isn’t as bad now because of the return of Nico Gonzalez. Gonzalez faced an injury that took him out for over two months. Even though it looked to be small, he never got it one hundred percent right. Now Gonzalez is back and has contributed in Juventus last two games.

He played a short four-minute cameo against Venezia when an equalizer was needed, where he wasn’t as impactful as he would have liked. Then he played twenty-five minutes against Cagliari in the cup and managed to get himself one goal and one assist.
