Juventus eyes €10m-rated ‘unhappy’ rival club left-back for January transfer

Juventus are reportedly keeping a close eye on the unfolding situation at Fiorentina involving their left-back, Fabiano Parisi, who has expressed dissatisfaction with his reduced role at the club, according to Tuttosport.

With the January transfer window approaching, the Bianconeri are looking to strengthen their defense, particularly after Gleison Bremer’s ACL injury.

While a new centre-back remains the priority, the need for a left-back has also come into focus, given Juan Cabal’s similar injury and Jonas Rouhi’s lack of readiness for first-team action.

Interestingly, Fiorentina has not one but two left-backs who are keen on leaving. Agent Mario Giuffredi has publicly criticized Fiorentina coach Raffaele Palladino for favoring Robin Gosens over his clients, Parisi and Cristiano Biraghi.

In a candid interview via TuttoMercatoWeb, Giuffredi stated, “I will respond to Palladino at the end of the transfer market, today I don’t feel like talking about it too much. But in January they will both leave.”

He added, hinting at a potential confrontation with Palladino, “I’ll just say for sure that if they go, I’ll reply to Palladino in due time so we can see how many balls he has.”

While Cristiano Biraghi might be seen as too old for Juventus, who are currently building a younger squad, Fabiano Parisi seems like a more suitable candidate for the Bianconeri.

Juventus had previously shown interest in the 24-year-old when he was breaking through at Empoli, but he ended up at Fiorentina in the summer of 2023.

Since then, however, Parisi has struggled for playing time, leading to his current dissatisfaction.

According to the reports, Juventus could take advantage of this situation by attempting to lure Parisi to Turin in January.

Despite the fierce rivalry between the two clubs, there have been instances of business dealings between them, with the most recent being the transfer of Moise Kean to Fiorentina.

Parisi is under contract with Fiorentina until June 2028, with his market value estimated at just under €10 million.

This price tag could make him an affordable option for Juventus, especially if they can leverage his current situation to negotiate a lower fee.

For Parisi, joining Juventus could provide the opportunity to showcase his talents on a bigger stage, potentially under the guidance of manager Thiago Motta, known for his ability to develop young players.
