Among the many names linked to Juventus in recent weeks, Sam Beukema has emerged as a notable candidate. The Dutch defender, currently playing for Bologna, was one of the profiles evaluated by the Bianconeri management to strengthen their defense.
As reported multiple times, Juventus was actively searching for a central defender, and Beukema was on their wishlist. Thiago Motta, who knows him well and has helped develop his game, valued him highly.
Born in 1998, Beukema has stood out this season for his defensive solidity, positional awareness, and aerial ability qualities that make him an attractive option for top tier clubs.
Ultimately, Juventus opted for other defensive solutions, but their interest in Beukema underscores the club’s commitment to tracking the best talents in Serie A. His future remains uncertain, with several teams keeping an eye on his progress.
Discussing his future and transfer rumors, Sam Beukema spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Ilbianconero) today”Are Juventus, Inter, Atletico, and Real Madrid following me? My father is my agent, along with another person.
I have always told them: when there is something concrete, let’s talk about it. Otherwise, nothing. We have never discussed the market, but I am in love with Bologna a special city with polite people and passionate fans.
Maybe it’s because I spent many summers in Riccione as a child we have an apartment there. I love everything about this area.”
Beukema also commented on his relationship with Joshua Zirkzee, another key target for Juventus and a player admired by Thiago Motta: “My role model? I think Van Dijk is a step above everyone else.
My dream is to play alongside him in the national team, and also with Zirkzee. Josh and I talk all the time, even this morning. We don’t just discuss football, but life in general.
I always follow Manchester United. We have a group chat with Ndoye and others; there’s a truly strong friendship among us. The bond we formed still exists today it’s huge and unique.”
Finally, Beukema briefly touched on Thiago Motta: “We had Thiago Motta as our coach, and now we have Vincenzo Italiano. We had a great season last year, and we are still competing at a high level this season. We are a family, a united team.”
