Manchester United could sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic for a reduced fee in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old Serbian’s future is uncertain as his contract with Juventus ends next summer. Juve do not want to lose him for free, so they are ready to sell him in January at a discount.
Vlahovic joined Juventus from Fiorentina in January 2022 for more than £66m. He was seen as one of the best young strikers in Europe at the time, after scoring 17 Serie A goals in just half a season.
Since then, he has scored 62 goals in 151 games for Juve. While his record is strong, he has not yet reached the level of other world-class forwards. Juventus are also struggling to cover his high wages, especially with new signing Lois Openda now first choice in attack.

Manchester United and Chelsea are both looking at Vlahovic, but United may have an advantage because Juventus are keen to sell quickly.
However, United already spent £74m on Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig this summer. Sesko just scored his first goal for United in their 3-1 defeat to Brentford.
When looking at the numbers, Benjamin Sesko has a slightly better scoring record than Dusan Vlahovic over the last two seasons.
In 2024/25, Sesko scored 13 league goals at a rate of 0.49 per 90 minutes, while Vlahovic managed 10 goals at 0.50 per 90 minutes. In 2023/24, Sesko hit 14 goals at an impressive 0.82 per 90, compared to Vlahovic’s 16 goals at 0.62 per 90.

Overall, Sesko scored 27 goals in the two campaigns with an average of 0.62 per 90 minutes, edging out Vlahovic’s 26 goals at 0.57. These stats show why Manchester United may not view the Juventus striker as a major upgrade, especially after paying big money for Sesko this summer.
The Red Devils must now decide if they want to push for Vlahovic in January or stick with their current striker options. If they do move, they will likely have to fight Chelsea for his signature.
