Report: Football world reacts to Federico Chiesa’s injury

Federico Chiesa has received support from Juve's biggest rivals, after it was reported that he injured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during the match vs. Roma. Chiesa went down after a slide tackle from Smalling and was taken off not long after. The Italian winger has to undergo surgery in the upcoming days and is out for the rest of the season. One of the first teams to react to the news was Inter Milan. "Wishing you a speedy recovery, Federico Chiesa. We hope to see you back out there soon!" The action earned them lots of respect from Juventini. The other Milan-based team, AC Milan, followed soon after. "Wishing you a speedy recovery, Federico Chiesa!" SSC Napoli, against whom Chiesa scored on Thursday, also had some words for the Italian winger. "Forza Federico! We look f...

Report: Zielinski postitive for COVID19. What did Serie A know and when did they know it?

Thursday night Juventus played Napoli at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, and what should have been the main story, is that even with all the players missing for Napoli, they were still able to pull off a result away from home, but instead a new and more shocking story has emerge from that match, as Napoli midfielder and Polish international Piotr Zieliński has tested positive for COVID19 as SSC Napoli just announced and made it official. With this news begs the question, What did Napoli and Lega Serie A know, and when did they know it! The reason this news comes as a shock to so many of us is because before the match, it was reported that Zieliński, along with his teammates Lobotka and Rrhamani were not supposed to be anywhere near the pitch on Thursday, as trio although vaccinated, came ...

Report: Rabiot and mom reject EPL offer

It's no secret that Adrien Rabiot, the 26 year old French international midfielder for Juventus is not a fan favourite of Bianconeri supporters, but it doesn't matter what us tifosi think, it only matters what coach Max Allegri thinks, and judging by how often Rabiot starts, I'd say he thinks he must be pretty damn good, either that or the rumours that Rabiot and his agent mother Veronique, had a clause put in his massive contract that states he must start in a certain number of games, but please don't quote me on that, as it just a rumour and not even close to being confirmed. Now a report from Calcio Mercato this morning that states that not only were Newcastle Untied and their new extremely rich ownership, who are desperate to make a splash in this winters Mercato, not only wanted to...

Report: New Club Shows Interest in Ramsey

When the Welshmen Aaron Ramsey first signed a pre contract with Juventus a few years ago durning that winters Mercato season, I have to admit I was very excited what the Arsenal player could bring to Serie A and more importantly my beloved Juventus. Being a huge fan of all Football, I watch all leagues from around the world, including the English Premier league where Aaron as a young man made the move too and worked on his craft until the age of 28 when Juve made him a monster offer that was to good to refuse. Having a close eye on Ramsey I noticed that he was a very good player, a box to box attacking mid, who did extremly well on the counter attacks, and almost always lead his team or was close to leading them in assists. The only problem for the player during his time at Arsenal whic...

Opinion: What are the chances Icardi ends up at Juve?

Just before the end of 2021, leading up to this Januarys winter Mercato, we got word that Juventus Striker Alvaro Morata was being recruited by Barcelona and to be more specific, by their newly appointed manager Xavi Alonso, who has stated through the press that he would like to build his new Barcelona project around players who play on the countries National team, and while needing a striker, Juve's Alavero Morata fits all of Xavi's requirements. For Juventus's part, they would have no problem releasing the player who has expressed his desire to play for the Catalonian side, as Morata only has a few months remaining on his loan from Atletico Madrid, as Juve have already made it known that they have no intention of purchasing the player once this loan deal expires. It is for this rea...

Update: Ramsey will leave Juve in January

According to Calcio Mercato via the website ilbianconeri.com, Wales international and the often injured Juventus foward Aaron Ramsey, was granted permission from the club to take a 48 hour leave of absence from training in order to help find a team that could take the player off of Juventus's hands. Newcastle United, with their new extremely rich Saudi ownership, were seen as the favourites to land the player, but reports suggest that they have yet to persuade him due to the clubs recent form and fear from Ramsey that Newcastle could end up playing in Englands second division The Championship next season, as the club currently sits in the relegation zone in 19th place, three points away from getting out of danger. Calcio Mercato also reports that if Ramsey stays at Juve past this sea...

Report: The goal remains Vlahović for Juve

Last weak the big news was the report that Barcelona and manager Xavi Hernandez, were in contact with Juventus forward Alvaro Morata and would like to sign the player who's on loan from Atletico Madrid and is set to go back to the Spanish club at the end of the season. Reports always were suggesting that Juventus were never interested in permanently signing the player and he was seen as a stop gap until the team could purchase a striker for the future. With money and timing being an issue, finding the perfect player was always going to require patients, and reports yesterday from Di Marzio indicated that Juventus have chosen to go after Gianluca Scamacca in the summer, which left some supporters like myself disappointed because we wanted someone different. And that someone is Dušan Vlahovi...

Juve join race for out of contract Chelsea defender

Juventus have started talks with the representatives of Antonio Rüdiger, who's contract expires this summer, according to Sky Sports. The Chelsea defender is a wanted man, because Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich are chasing him too. These clubs, like Juventus, have also started talks with Rüdiger's entourage. Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick is a fan of the German defender too and knows his brother (who's his agent as well), so the English club shouldn't be written off yet either. Rüdiger could also stay at Chelsea, but the Blues latest offer, that dates back to the start of the season, was rejected by the German. Rüdiger has been vital for Chelsea this season, playing 26 games in which he scored 2 goals and gave 4 assists. He also played 90 minutes in Chelsea's ...

Report: de Ligt happy to stay at Juve past 2023

When Juventus bought de Ligt from Ajax in 2019 for a fee of €80M, a lot of supporters of the club saw the player as not only the future, but also someone who might serve as Captain. But shortly after the contract was signed, we learned that agent Mino Raiola put in a clause that could see the player leave the team after year three if a bid came in of €125M. An enormous fee, even at the time pre COVID, but still it made some supporters wonder if de Ligt was just using Juve as a stepping stone club before he made his big move in the future. Well, the future appears to be the present as two weeks in an interview with a Dutch sports channel, Mino when asked about the future of his client replied that de Ligt and himself both agree it is time for a change. Update: Supercoppa back on. Full details

On January 12th of this upcoming New Year, Coppa Italia winners Juventus were supposed to take on Scudetto winners Inter in the annual Super Coppa Final that was supposed to take place at the San Siro in Milan. Confirmation of the postponement was reported earlier today by journalist Romeo Agresti, and in the hour since the news first broke, reports are indicating that the reason for the postponement is due to rising COVID cases and the Italian government recently announcing that all Italian league matches must be played at 50% capacity. To avoid having to refund tickets, organizers thought it would be best to move the match to a later month when restrictions can be lifted and the stadiums again can go back to full capacity. No official date has been given as of now for the resche...

Report: Chiellini positive for COVID, and are others affected?

This morning, Juventus.com announced that the teams Captain Giogrio Chiellini has tested positive for COVID19, which imminently sparked concerns that other Juventus first team players could also be invected, as earlier in the day Chiellini was seen at Juve HQ JTC Continassa. But concerns were then immediately put to rest as journalist and Juventus beat reporter Giovanni Albanese quickly put out a tweet that stated that Chiellini, who was in fact in the building, was kept purposely away from the rest of his teammates as he was awaiting the results of his COVID19 test. What may seem like some sort of good news, still has others concerned, as we now know for a fact that the virus itself was indeed in the building, where it has spread, no one can be certain, but for now we can report tha...

Is Icardi set to join Juventus?

Mauro Icardi's name has been circulating in the roumor mill it seems for years now. Durning the Cristiano Ronaldo era, the player was considered as a possible partner up front to play the number 9 role, something Juventus has been struggling to get consistency for sometime now. With reports in the last few days of Morata being quartered by Barcelona and their newly appointed Manager Xavi Hernandez, Juventus, who already have made the decision not to purchase the player once his loan from Atletico Madrid expires at the end of this season, would be happy to let the player go back to Spain on the condition that Barcelona pay €10M and of course Juventus find a proper replacement. According to one source out of Portugal Juve have found that replacement as Pedro Almeida is reporting that J...

Tottenham could offer one of two midfielders for Kulusevksi

Tottenham Hotspur could offer either Giovanni Lo Celso or Tanguy Ndombélé for Dejan Kulusevski, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Swedish forward hasn't been able to convince Massimiliano Allegri during the first half of the season and may join Spurs in January. Juventus haven't received any offer yet, but the interest is serious. The Bianconeri are ready to listen to offers for Kulusevski, who's valued at €30M. Tottenham want to include one of two midfielders in the negotiations: Giovanni Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombélé. That way they can bring down the price and slightly trim their squad. Lo Celso joined Spurs in the summer of 2020 for €32M after being on loan in London for one year (which costed Spurs €16M). The Argentinian midfielder hasn't been playing much since...

Could Memphis Depay be swapped to Juventus?

This morning, news broke from Romeo Agresti that Spanish giants FC Barcelona are seriously interested in Juventus forward Alvaro Morata, which left Juventini stunned, but not at the fact that we could lose the player ,because Juventini have been resigned to the fact for many months now, that when his loan deal with Atletico Madrid expires this summer, he would indeed go back to Spain with no chance of a purchase. The surprising news too many supporters of Juve is the fact that Barcelona would be interested in Morata at all, as the striker this season has been struggling to show consistency, but that doesn't seem to scare away Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez, which reports suggest that the coach is a big fan of the player and would like to bring him in durning the winter transfer season...

Morata to Barcelona? ‘I could see it happening’

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata is an option to strengthen Barcelona's attack this winter, transferexpert Gerard Romero reported. The Atletico Madrid loanee could be a piece of the puzzle Xavi's trying to build, according to journalist Omar Hawwash. Barcelona's intentions are serious. The club have had contacts with Morata's entourage to discuss a potential move to Camp Nou. The fact that Morata's already on loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid makes the deal more difficult. Morata hasn't been Juve's best player in the first half of the season, but did score 7 goals and gave 3 assists. Piece of the puzzle "I could see it happening personally, but obviously given his past with Real Madrid that complicates things on top of the Atlético- Juve arrangement", says Omar Hawwash of Ba...

Report: Barcelona is ready to pay de Ligt’s full release clause

A week before the Christmas break super agent Mino Raiola went on Dutch television and does what he does best, stir up controversy for one of his clients and gaining the European Football markets attention. This time to Bianconeri supporters displeasure, the client in question was Matthijs De Ligt. Of course we all knew with the players release clause this day could come, but at such a high fee, no one really thought that it could be a reality. Before de Ligt even transferred to Juventus from Ajax, the belief was he would choose to sign with Barcelona instead. Originally some in the media thought that there was a clause that stated Barcelona could get de Ligt for a fee of €75M, but with contradicting reports, I don't believe that to be true. Now to the headline, this morning Ga...

TATGATE! The tweet that caused a storm on quiet day

It was a very quiet Morning/afternoon in the Juve/Calcio Twitter community, where the theme of the day was about Lorenzo Insigne and his record MLS signing with Toronto FC, and everyone mocking the fact that it had been more than 24 hours since the news first broke, and was still the talk of the community on Twitter. Then I came along and spiced things up by writing a tweet that became controversial. Read my article why Juventus should pass on Gianluca Scamacca here. The name Gianluca Scamacca, the player in question has been getting a lot of buzz ever since a report that said the 22 year old Italian National striker from Sassuolo was linked to Juventus. I have been writing reports ever since the story had broke, even publishing an opinion article where I'm quoted as saying: "Juventus shou...

Could Aubameyang be a short term solution to Juve’s struggles up front?

With all the news in the last 24 hours being about a possible transfer of Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo to Juventus, it's time to take a look at other names that for the club could be a short term solution for the problems they are experiencing from the forward position.   Someone who's name recently caught my attention, was that of Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who I'd be the first to admit that I never wanted at the club when I heard his name come up in previous rumours, but with all things in life, sometimes it just comes down to timing and right now it seems that it may be good timing for both Juventus and Aubameyang, as Calcio Mercato is today reporting that the player is on a short list of names being consider by Juve's new director of Football Federico Cher...

Juventus face competition for Scamacca from rival

Juventus are prepared to offer Sassuolo €35M for striker Gianluca Scamacca, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport's front page from yesterday,. The Bianconeri are looking to strenghten their attack in January and Scamacca seems to be on top of the list. However, Juve face heavy competition from their rival Inter. 'L'Inter stoppa La Juve' is Gazzetta's headline today. The Nerazzuri want to close a deal in June and are ready to offer €5M-€10M more than the Bianconeri, the Italian newspaper reported (via FedeNerazzurra). The fact that Inter want to buy Scamacca in the summer is a big plus for Sassuolo, who don't want to sell the player in January. https://twitter.com/Gazzetta_it/status/1476055376734961666?s=20 Inter's not only prepared to offer more money than Juve. Update: Juve are still seriously interested in bringing back Pogba

From the moment Juventus sold Paul Pogba to Manchester United in the summer of 2018 for a then record fee of €105M, it seems a large portion of the fan base has been dreaming of his return ever since. To some, these dreams have come across as delusional, even when the rumours have been at their loudest. But this season, everything feels different, and even some of the biggest doubters are starting to believe a return to Turin may be possible. That is until Paul pulled up in training while striking a ball as part of a shooting drill and was diagnosed with a thigh injury that will keep him sideline for at least the next 10 weeks. Pogba then posted a video on his Instagram showing himself on crushes, a sign that this injury was much more serious than everyone first expected. So, with that v...

Opinion: The future of Dybala is in the players hands.

Paulo Dybala, La Joya, The Jewel of the Bianconeri, who for the past 4 years has undoubtably been Juve's best player, and it is for this reason that the past year and a half has been so frustrating for the player and supporters of him and the club, as when he is on the pitch, his brilliance can be easy to see, but that's the thing, when he's on the pitch, as that has not always been a sure thing since the start of 2020 and the begging of the COVID era.   Lingering muscle injuries seems to be the theme of Dybala in this time period of brilliance mixed with time away due to injuries, and it's for this reason I believe Juventus management has seemed to welch on their original offer to Dybala which previous reports seem to indicate was in the 4-5 year range.
