La Gazzetta: Juventus preparing offer for Barcelona centre-back

Juventus is actively seeking to bolster their attacking options in the upcoming January transfer window, with Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani emerging as a prime target.

The French striker, who joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 for a substantial fee of €95 million, has struggled to secure a regular spot under coach Luis Enrique.

His limited playing time, featuring only 78 minutes in the last five games, has led to speculation about a potential departure.

Kolo Muani’s situation at PSG has attracted interest from several top European clubs, including Juventus.

The Bianconeri are reportedly considering a swap deal that would involve sending their Serbian striker, Dusan Vlahovic, to PSG in exchange for Kolo Muani.

Vlahovic, who has 18 months remaining on his contract, has faced challenges in maintaining consistent form under coach Thiago Motta.

Juventus is keen to maximize his market value before his contract expires, making a swap deal an appealing option.

The potential acquisition of Kolo Muani would provide Juventus with a versatile forward capable of playing both as a central striker and on the wings.

This flexibility could alleviate the burden on Vlahovic, who has been the sole reliable option in attack due to Arkadiusz Milik’s ongoing injury issues.

Milik’s absence has left Juventus with a thin attacking lineup, making the addition of Kolo Muani a strategic move to enhance their offensive capabilities.

However, several factors could complicate this potential transfer. Kolo Muani’s high salary at PSG presents a financial challenge for Juventus, who would need to navigate their budget constraints to accommodate his wages.

Additionally, the dynamics of a swap deal involving Vlahovic require careful negotiation to ensure mutual benefit for both clubs.

Despite these challenges, Juventus remains optimistic about the possibility of securing Kolo Muani’s services, with ongoing contacts between the club and the player’s representatives.
