When asked how close he was to playing the derby in an Inter jersey, David said, “Not so close. There were contacts and talks with my agent, but not in-depth. I am very happy at Juventus.”
David spoke about his experience at Juventus so far: “I signed knowing that I would play in a big European club, but from inside you realize even better the dimension of the club. And I haven’t even managed to visit the museum yet. The players, the fans… At Juventus everything is big and must be done at the top.”

He also singled out a teammate who has impressed him the most: “Locatelli, particularly for his passing ability and for managing the timing of the game.”
Regarding the possibility of a striking partnership with Dusan Vlahovic, David stated, “Yes, it’s possible. But these are decisions that the coach makes, it’s more a question for Tudor. I am ready for any solution and I enjoy it in any way. Dusan and I push each other on the field because we want the best for the team.”
He views the increased competition in the attack as a positive, saying, “It’s a positive fact for a strong team like Juventus. The more players there are, the more quality solutions there are and the better it is for the team.”
David also talked about his former Lille teammate, Edon Zhegrova: “I shared several seasons with him. Edon is an incredible player, he has an exceptional left foot and a great dribbling: he is a great purchase. At Lille we always had a good relationship on and off the field. There is a great connection between us and this will also be an advantage at Juventus.”
