Former Juventus striker David Trezeguet has shared his thoughts on the current state of Juventus’ attacking department in an exclusive interview with Tuttosport.
The French legend, who scored 171 goals in 320 appearances for the Bianconeri and remained loyal to the club even during their Serie B spell, analyzed the performances of key players like Kolo Muani, Kenan Yildiz, and Dusan Vlahovic.
Trezeguet was particularly impressed by Kolo Muani’s resurgence after his difficult season at Paris Saint-Germain.
“It’s clear that Kolo Muani has rediscovered his confidence after his time at PSG,” Trezeguet said. “Since arriving in Turin, he’s been able to show his quality. He’s an important player, worthy of the French national team.
“He’s finding his rhythm at Juventus and seems very comfortable in Igor Tudor’s system, which suits him well. He’s a key figure for the club, but it’s up to him to keep pushing his limits and improving every day in training.”
Trezeguet also reserved special praise for Kenan Yildiz, one of Juventus’ most promising young talents.
“Yildiz is a very interesting player with a great future ahead of him,” Trezeguet noted. “He must continue to train well and understand the importance of his role at Juventus.
“His quality is undeniable, but he’s just at the beginning of his career. The club should let him grow calmly, giving him the freedom to enjoy his football. That’s essential for him to make a real impact here.”
On the other hand, Trezeguet was more critical of Dusan Vlahovic, challenging him to step up and prove he deserves his place at Juventus.
“Dusan still has to prove he deserves to wear the Juventus shirt,” he emphasized. ‘How can he overcome this tough moment? By working hard and trying to win back his spot, which right now belongs to Kolo Muani.”
Finally, Trezeguet spoke about the potential arrival of Jonathan David from Lille, urging caution before making comparisons.
“Jonathan David is a talented young player who has put up good numbers in France. But Juventus is a different level compared to Lille,” he explained. “We won’t really be able to evaluate him until he arrives in Italy—if the club decides to go all-in on him. He’s quick, skilled, and scores regularly, but let’s wait and see.”
