Federico Gatti linked to contract renewal
Federico Gatti has been very impressive in the first three games of the season. He has been playing as the captain due to Danilo not starting any of the three games, and he still hasn’t played a single minute. In these three games, Juventus and Gatti still haven’t conceded a goal.
Gatti has had a miraculous rise to Juventus as he looked out of football picking up a brick laying job. But he has slowly risen up through Serie C and Serie B and ultimately earning a move to Juventus. After his first three games he could be rewarded with a contract extension.
Federico has already picked up an extension last season with a deal will run until 2028. His new deal will give an added year, but it is mainly a pay rise. This could be because of his bigger role with co-captain and a starting player.
According to Nicolo Schira his deal will be with a fee of around 2.3 million per year. This will be a big pay rise from his original extension almost a year ago now. Juventus could be inclined to give him more money because he has taken offers from multiple clubs.
The offers where mainly from Premier League clubs with reportedly mainly Nottingham Forrest being the club interested last January. These Premier League teams returned again this summer but still Juventus turning him down with Motta and Giuntoli wanting to keep him.
