As uncertainty continues to cloud Dusan Vlahovic’s future at Juventus, former Bianconeri striker Fernando Llorente has issued a firm warning to the Serbian forward: think twice before walking away from the club.

The 24-year-old Vlahovic has yet to reach an agreement with Juventus on a contract extension, and speculation of a potential summer exit is mounting.

Despite the club’s newly-appointed General Director Damien Comolli hoping to retain him, signs increasingly point to a separation.

Vlahovic’s 2024/25 campaign was marked by inconsistency. After being reinstated in the starting lineup by coach Igor Tudor in March, hopes were high that he would rediscover his top form.

However, his performances failed to convince, and Tudor eventually opted for Randal Kolo Muani, who proved to be more clinical in front of goal.

Fernando Llorente who spent two years in Turin between 2013 and 2015 shared his perspective on Vlahovic’s dilemma.

“Those who leave Juventus often regret it,”.

“They are personal choices, but if you don’t have offers from top clubs like Real Madrid or big clubs of that level, I would think carefully before changing teams.

The priority is to be happy. The World Cup is a great opportunity for Vlahovic: he will have everyone’s eyes on him. Goals can change the stories of strikers.”

Llorente’s words come from personal experience. After forming a powerful strike partnership with Carlos Tevez during his time at Juventus, the Spaniard left for Sevilla in 2015.

His career then took him across Europe Swansea, Tottenham, Napoli, and more but none of those stints matched the success or consistency he had in Turin.

With the World Cup approaching and major clubs monitoring his situation, Vlahovic still has a chance to reshape his story.

Whether he chooses to remain in black and white or seek a new challenge, Llorente’s advice serves as a reminder of what Juventus can offer a platform, history, and expectations that not every club can match.
