Cristiano Giuntoli is preparing for yet another overhaul at Juventus as the club heads into the upcoming transfer window.
Despite making numerous changes last summer and again in January some by choice and others by necessity the Juventus sporting director is planning further adjustments to strengthen the squad for the next season. With many uncertain situations in the current roster, Juventus aims to reinforce key positions from defense to attack.
The defensive strategy seems to be taking shape. Despite strong interest, Juventus decided against selling Andrea Cambiaso in January. However, Manchester City is expected to return in the summer with a substantial offer for the full-back.
If Cambiaso departs, Juventus has already identified David Hancko as a top replacement. The club has made significant progress in discussions with the Feyenoord defender, and the Dutch club is reportedly open to selling him for €25-30 million plus bonuses something they were reluctant to do during the winter transfer window.
While Hancko appears to be a clear target, the midfield situation remains more complex. According to Ilbianconero, Juventus has set its sights on Sandro Tonali.
Despite previous investments in the midfield, including the acquisition of Douglas Luiz, the club is considering further changes. Luiz’s performances have not met expectations so far, and Juventus might explore the possibility of including him in negotiations with Newcastle to lower Tonali’s price tag.
One of the most ambitious targets on Giuntoli’s list is Victor Osimhen. Given his past role at Napoli, Giuntoli has a direct connection with the Nigerian striker.
However, signing Osimhen remains a highly complex operation. He is still under contract with Napoli and has a €75 million release clause, which does not apply to Italian clubs.
If a move for Osimhen proves unattainable, Juventus will still need to act in the attacking department. Dusan Vlahovic’s future at the club is increasingly uncertain, and if Kolo Muani is to stay, negotiations with PSG will be necessary.
As Juventus prepares for a pivotal summer, Giuntoli faces the challenge of reshaping the squad while navigating financial and competitive constraints. The coming months will determine whether Juventus can secure its top targets and build a stronger team for the upcoming season.
