Good news for Juventus as confirmed by Thiago Motta in a press conference a short while ago, Andrea Cambiaso will be available for tomorrow’s match against Inter.
According to Ilbianconero, the 2000-born defender has recovered in time for the Derby d’Italia, and after resuming group training yesterday, he will be included in the squad list.
Cambiaso has been out since the match against Napoli, which ended in a 2-1 victory for the Azzurri. An ankle issue kept him sidelined for subsequent games, forcing Motta to explore different options against Benfica, Empoli, Como, and PSV.
On the left side, Kelly and Savona alternated, with the latter possibly returning to the starting lineup. Meanwhile, Timothy Weah has consistently featured on the right flank in recent matches.
Kelly, who missed yesterday’s training session due to a gastrointestinal issue, will also be available against Inter. Motta confirmed that the Englishman is fit and could be an option on the left side.
Cambiaso initially suffered an injury during the match against Bologna, where he was forced off after just 14 minutes. He remained sidelined until the game against Monza, where medical tests revealed a sprained ankle. Despite returning to action, his condition did not fully stabilize.
After featuring in all of Juventus’ January fixtures and gradually increasing his playing time, the ankle issue resurfaced following the Napoli match, keeping him out for four consecutive games. Now, as confirmed by Thiago Motta, Cambiaso is ready to return.
After four matches on the sidelines, Andrea Cambiaso is set for a comeback, having trained with the squad yesterday. While Motta confirmed his availability, he did not specify whether Cambiaso would start or come off the bench.
Regardless, Cambiaso is ready to take the field in some capacity, with several tactical alternatives available on both wings. With Juventus aiming to maintain their three game winning streak and solidify their position in the Champions League race, Motta emphasized the importance of tomorrow’s crucial Derby d’Italia.
