Juventus are intensifying their pursuit of Fulham manager Marco Silva as they seek a new head coach for the upcoming season.

This development follows the club’s unsuccessful attempts to secure Antonio Conte and Gian Piero Gasperini, both of whom have committed to other projects.

Cristiano Giuntoli, Juventus’ current sporting director, initiated contact with Silva’s agent, Jorge Mendes, several days ago.

At that time, Juventus believed they were close to appointing Conte, who ultimately decided to remain with Napoli. With Conte and Gasperini no longer options, Silva has become a prominent candidate for the position.

The impending arrival of Damien Comolli as Juventus’ new general manager further strengthens Silva’s candidacy.

Comolli  has a strong appreciation for Silva’s coaching style and has reportedly reestablished contact with Mendes to discuss the potential appointment.

Silva, 47, has been at the helm of Fulham since 2021, leading the club to an 11th-place finish in the Premier League this past season. His managerial career includes stints at Sporting CP, Olympiacos, Hull City, Watford, and Everton.

As Juventus prepare for the FIFA Club World Cup, where they will debut against Al Ain on June 19, the club’s leadership, including John Elkann, Damien Comolli, and Giorgio Chiellini, are expected to convene in Munich during the Champions League final between PSG and Inter.

This meeting will be pivotal in finalizing decisions regarding the club’s future direction, including the head coach position.

While Igor Tudor remains under contract until June 2026 and is set to lead the team through the Club World Cup, indications suggest that Juventus are planning a comprehensive overhaul of their coaching staff.

The club’s commitment to rejuvenating its leadership structure underscores the importance of the upcoming appointments in shaping Juventus’ trajectory in both domestic and international competitions.
