Juventus have once again turned their attention to Carney Chukwuemeka, the young midfielder owned by Chelsea, as the club continues to evaluate midfield reinforcements ahead of the new season.

The 21-year-old English player of Nigerian descent was already a target for the Bianconeri during the January transfer window, when he appeared close to leaving Chelsea.

Borussia Dortmund ultimately secured his services on a loan deal, helping the player gain experience and boost his market value.

Chukwuemeka made 22 appearances in total last season  17 of those with Dortmund  and scored one goal in the Bundesliga.

Juventus are still monitoring the midfielder but cannot move forward without first offloading a current squad member. While Chukwuemeka remains highly rated by the new management, he is not the club’s top priority.

Instead, he is being viewed as a potential late-window opportunity, especially if other clubs such as Dortmund redirect their focus elsewhere.

Chelsea are demanding €40 million for the young midfielder  a fee currently out of reach for Juventus unless they generate funds through sales.

Juventus are also tracking other options, including Morten Hjulmand  considered a favorite of coach Igor Tudor  Franck Kessié, and André.

However, the potential sale of Douglas Luiz is expected to be the key that could unlock Juventus’ summer transfer plans.

Until then, Chukwuemeka remains a possibility, not a priority, but the situation could change quickly as the transfer window progresses.
