Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz is making steady progress in his recovery and could soon be available for selection by head coach Thiago Motta.
According to Ilbianconero, the Brazilian resumed training with the squad on Tuesday, despite wearing a noticeable bandage on his left thigh.
However, as a precautionary measure, he was not included in the squad for the UEFA Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven, indicating that the medical staff is taking a cautious approach to prevent any setbacks.
Douglas Luiz continued his rehabilitation with a personalized training session today. Encouragingly for Juventus, he is expected to rejoin full team training as early as tomorrow.
If he responds well physically, there is a strong possibility that he could be part of the squad for the Serie A fixture against Cagliari on Sunday, February 23, in what will be the 26th round of the season.
While his return to action is promising, it remains unlikely that Luiz will start the match. Given his recent absence, the most probable scenario is that he could make an appearance off the bench in the second half.
His presence would nonetheless be a significant boost for Juventus, as the team aims to extend their positive run in the league with an additional quality option in midfield.
Juventus will continue to monitor his condition closely, ensuring he is fully fit before reintegrating him into competitive action.
