How Juventus could shape up in the 2022-2023 season

Next season, Juventus will undoubtedly have a completely new appearance. Paulo Dybala, Moise Kean, Arthur Melo, Adrien Rabiot, Alex Sandro, and others should all be gone, while Giorgio Chiellini may retire or move to the MLS. The future of Alvaro Morata is also uncertain.

That implies the squad will undoubtedly require reinforcements during the summer transfer window. Manuel Locatelli, Denis Zakaria, and Federico Chiesa, among others, will return to form a formidable core. They, as well as others who are brought in to reinforce the Bianconeri ranks, will play critical roles in the team’s advancement from this year to next.

1)Midfield– The first is at the park’s centre. While injuries have hindered the squad this year, probably most noticeably in central midfield, certain upgrades may be made to complement the current generation of Juventus midfielders. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Paul Pogba are two names that spring to mind.

Juve is said to be ‘crazy’ about the former and intrigued by the prospect of reconciling with the latter. Both will be costly acquisitions for different reasons, but the club is keen to make a major statement in this position to compensate for Dybala’s departure. It will also be intriguing to see whether they sign another regista, like Chelsea’s Jorginho. However, this should not be high on the priority list because we are also associated with other midfielders such as Youri Tielemans, Davide Frattesi, and Ryan Gravenberch, among others. The prospective sales of Arthur, Rodrigo, and Rabiot will help the club find the funds to add a key midfielder or two.

2)Forward– Moise Kean has not been the solution since his return to Italy, and Dusan Vlahovic might perform better than Alvaro Morata, who could be a valuable squad player in the future. There are, however, no assurances about the Spaniard’s future. As a result, the Bianconeri must sign another young, developing star to complement the energetic Vlahovic, who was signed from Fiorentina just this winter and diversify Juventus’ assault.

Is that Giacomo Raspadori? Juve has been strongly associated with Mancini’s squad’s young Italian. He’d be a wise, promising, and cost-effective signing. Aside from that, Juve is seeking for a winger to join Vlahovic and Chiesa in a lethal three.

3)Backline– Who will step in for Chiellini and Alex Sandro in this Juventus squad? Juve has been linked with three players for the left-back position: Renan Lodi, Emerson Palmieri, and Owen Wijndal. The most fascinating of these three is the young Dutch left-back who has just one year remaining on his contract and whose agent is Mino Riola, who might assist us clinch the signing of Wijndal from AZ Alkmaar.

Meanwhile, Can Antonio Rudiger be the guy to replace Chiellini as a pillar of the Juve backline, along with Matthijs de Ligt? The upcoming free agent is admired across the continent, but his financial demands force Juventus to abandon their pursuit of the Frenchman. Juve has also been attempting to sign Bremer from our city rivals, Torino. Along with these two, Juve is interested in Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovi, who is available for only 15 million euros this summer. Not to mention that our loanee Merih Demiral may return if Atalanta does not exercise their buy option.

These are excellent modifications that would help to stabilise and immediately enhance the Bianconeri. We must, however, be practical. Juventus will almost certainly be unable to finance the best option at every essential position this summer. That is why prioritising is essential. The most pressing requirement for Juventus this summer must be to strengthen the midfield, strengthen the left-back, and compensate for Dybala’s departure.
