Milan’s sporting director, Igli Tare, has spoken about the club’s ongoing transfer activity, particularly focusing on the search for a new striker.

In an interview with Sport Mediaset, Tare confirmed that the club is actively working to reinforce the attacking department and did not rule out a potential move for Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović.

While Tare acknowledged that Vlahović is not currently the main focus due to ongoing negotiations for Manchester United’s Rasmus Højlund, he made it clear that the Serbian forward remains an option.

Tare stated: “Højlund is a good option for us. We’re evaluating him these days, but the transfer market is unpredictable. We know we need to intervene in that position, and we also know that any new arrivals must bring something extra to the group.”

When asked directly about Dušan Vlahović, Tare confirmed Milan’s interest without denying ongoing considerations: “That’s also an option. A striker will arrive.”

With just two weeks remaining in the transfer window, Vlahović’s future remains uncertain. Juventus are pushing for his departure and are reportedly close to securing a deal to bring Randal Kolo Muani back to Turin, a move that would likely close the door on Vlahović’s continued stay at the club.

The Serbian forward is reportedly open to a move to Milan — a destination he views favorably, especially with the opportunity to reunite with Massimiliano Allegri. However, Milan has yet to open formal negotiations with Juventus.

Instead, the Rossoneri have made more concrete moves toward signing Rasmus Højlund from Manchester United, who could arrive under more financially favorable terms — a loan deal with an option to buy — compared to the high costs associated with Vlahović.

That said, no agreement has been finalized for Højlund either, as the player continues to consider his future. As things stand, all options remain open — including a potential surprise move for Vlahović.
