Manchester United have reportedly reached an informal agreement with Juventus over a potential swap deal involving winger Jadon Sancho and midfielder Douglas Luiz.
Sancho had been expected to join Chelsea after his season-long loan, but the Blues chose not to buy him. Now, with both United and the player ready to part ways, Juventus have stepped in as serious contenders.
The Italian giants are very interested in signing the England international, and reports say Sancho is also eager to make the move to Turin.
United and Juventus are exploring two options to finalize the transfer A straight sale worth €25 million plus bonuses, or A swap deal involving Douglas Luiz, the former Aston Villa midfielder who played over 200 games in the Premier League.
United are reportedly open to both options, with Luiz seen as a strong addition to Erik ten Hag’s midfield.
One issue still being discussed is Sancho’s salary. His current wages are around €10 million per year, a figure Juventus are unwilling to match.
The report claims Juventus are offering him a salary between €6–7 million net, while Sancho is asking for €8 million. Talks are ongoing, and both sides are working to find common ground.
With Sancho keen to join Juventus and both clubs motivated to reach an agreement, it seems only a matter of time before a deal is completed.
For United, completing the move would free up funds for other signings or bring in a Premier League-proven midfielder like Luiz to strengthen the squad.
