Inter fans ended last season on an extremely low note, losing the Champions League final 5-0 against PSG. This was after losing the scudetto to Napoli on the final matchday. Then they where knocked out in the club world in the round of 16 to Brazilian side Fluminese.

In between the end of last season and the start of the club world cup Simone Inzaghi resigned as his position as club coach. This was due to a more lucrative offer coming from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal. The club then hired ex player Christian Chivu who was coaching at Parma at the time.

Now they are looking to strength their team around the needs of Chivu. Inter board led by Giuseppe Marotta already think that the team is strong enough to compete but it is just missing some pieces. This is why they are looking brining in Ademola Lookman from Atalanta.

The deal for Lookman is not secured at all because of the valuation between the two clubs. Atalanta values Lookman at €50M but Inter are hesitant to pay this figure. They see Lookman’s value at €40M euros and don’t plan on paying over €45M for the Nigerian attacker.

This leaves Inter at roadblock and now they will likely have to look for alternatives. Supposedly a name on that list was Juventus winger Nico Gonzalez. However, a report from Daniele Mari and Fabian Biasin on X.

This leaves Gonzalez with no a lot of options for next season. He will definitely leave Juventus next season as the club looks to gain capital to bolster up the starting eleven for Igor Tudor.

Nico Gonzalez isn’t in Tudor plans even though he only joined from Fiorentina last season. This is because he was very poor last season under Thiago Motta and he dosen’t fit in Tudor system. This is due to Tudor preferring to play with two attacking midfielders instead of wide players.
