Juventus are in search of rejuvenation after a series of underwhelming performances, with their recent draw against Venezia highlighting the need for change.
The solution isn’t straightforward; it involves multiple facets of the team requiring overhaul. While there are tactical adjustments to be made, the influence of the transfer market and the impact of injuries cannot be ignored.
However, Juventus manager Thiago Motta has made it clear that these should not be the team’s excuses for their performance, which seems to go beyond just injury concerns.
The need for action in the transfer market is evident, and Juventus’ sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, is actively working to strengthen the squad.

One name that has been repeatedly linked with Juventus is Benfica’s Antonio Silva, with Giuntoli reportedly enjoying a good relationship with Silva’s agent, Jorge Mendes.
Antonio Silva reportedly attracting an interest from Juventus are the Bianconeri are prepared to sign a centre-back in January following Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal’s ACL injury.
Silva, at 21, is tied to Benfica until June 2027 with a market value hovering around 40 million euros.
Juventus has initiated discussions, taking advantage of the fact that Francisco Conceiçao, already at Juventus, shares the same representation.
Their approach is to negotiate a paid loan with an option to buy at a high price, with the intention to revisit terms for a full transfer in the summer, aiming to secure a preferential deal akin to Conceiçao’s transfer.
Mendes spoke to Tuttosport about Silva’s potential move to Juventus, as well as discussing Francisco Conceicao’s current role at the club.
Jorge Mendes highlighted Juventus’ standing in European football but ignored to say if they are in talks to sign Silva, saying, “Juventus continues to be one of the best clubs in Europe, but the future [Antonio Silva] belongs to God.”
He praised Silva’s abilities, stating, “He is a young player with a lot of quality, of world-class level. He has already shown his value, which is why even last year some of the top European clubs were interested in signing him.”
Regarding Francisco Conceicao, who has already joined Juventus, Mendes was effusive in his praise, “He’s an exceptional player, a natural attacker who can play in any team around the world. He is much more than what people think! Francisco is ecstatic to play for Juventus, which has always been his dream. He is very happy.”
