What was supposed to be a turning point for Juventus turned into yet another missed opportunity in their season.

The Bianconeri, without a win in the league since November 9, extended their run of draws after a dramatic 2-2 home tie against Venezia, narrowly escaping defeat thanks to a stoppage-time penalty.

The match at the Allianz Stadium saw Juventus taking control from the outset, but they were up against a Venezia side that, despite being at the bottom of the table, played without fear and with determination.

Juventus struggled to break through Venezia’s organized defense, ultimately relying on a set-piece to take the lead. In the 19th minute, from a corner kick, Thuram headed the ball towards the goal, and Gatti tapped it in from close range to make it 1-0.

However, the lead was short-lived. Venezia responded admirably, almost leveling the score with a shot by Andersen that hit the crossbar. They continued to threaten through Pohjanpalo and Busio, but the scoreline remained unchanged until halftime.

In the second half, Venezia equalized in the 61st minute when Zampano delivered a precise cross, and Ellertsson headed it past Di Gregorio.

Juventus then pushed harder for a win, but Venezia managed to shock the home crowd with a stunning comeback. In the 83rd minute, from a free-kick by Nicolussi Caviglia, Gatti, in an attempt to clear, inadvertently scored an own goal, putting Venezia ahead.

The Allianz Stadium was left in silence, with Juventus seemingly heading for a defeat until a dramatic turn in stoppage time.

After Candela handled the ball in the penalty area, a penalty was awarded. Vlahovic stepped up and scored from the spot, securing a 2-2 draw.
