Juventus 5-0 Al Ain big win to open Club World Cup campaign
Juventus couldn’t have asked for a better start to their 2025 FIFA Club World Cup journey. Facing UAE’s Al Ain in their opening group match at Audi Field, the Italian side delivered a commanding 5-0 victory, sending a clear message to the rest of the competition.
The Bianconeri didn’t waste any time asserting dominance. Within just half an hour, Juve had a 3-0 advantage, thanks to an explosive first-half performance.
Randal Kolo Muani netted twice before halftime, with Francisco Conceição and Kenan Yildiz also getting on the scoresheet to make it 4-0 at the break. Conceição added another in the second half to complete the rout.
It was a clinical performance Juventus converted each of their four first-half shots on target into goals, an efficiency that has often eluded them in recent Serie A matches.
What’s striking is that most of the damage was done by players whose futures with Juventus are uncertain.
Kolo Muani and Conceição are both on loan, and although Juve are working on keeping the French striker beyond this tournament, Conceição’s situation remains unclear. That didn’t stop them from shining when it mattered most.
This kind of result was expected given the matchup, but Juventus did what they needed to: handle business, avoid surprises, and boost their goal difference.
The real tests are still ahead including a showdown with Manchester City to close out the group stage.
That said, starting with a five-goal win gives Juve momentum and a strong foothold in Group G.
