Juventus and AC Milan eye Manchester United star in potential swap deal
Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee could be heading back to Italy this January, with Juventus and AC Milan both preparing offers for the Dutchman.
The 24-year-old left Bologna for United in 2024, but after a promising debut season, he is struggling for minutes under new manager Ruben Amorim.
Zirkzee scored seven goals and provided three assists in his first year at Old Trafford, but this season he has managed just 82 minutes of action without a goal or assist. Despite limited playing time, he remains highly rated in Serie A.
Juventus are exploring a player-plus-cash deal to bring Zirkzee to Turin. The proposed swap could involve Dušan Vlahović, whose contract expires at the end of the season. Since Zirkzee’s deal runs until 2029 with an option for another year, United are in a strong position, but Juve hope to tempt them with a package.

Juventus aren’t the only ones circling. AC Milan are also watching closely as they look to add depth in attack. Meanwhile, ambitious Serie A side Como are keeping tabs on the forward, though they would likely face a tough financial challenge to meet United’s valuation.
Manager Amorim’s reluctance to give Zirkzee regular minutes could push the striker towards the exit door. For United, the January window may present a chance to either cash in or strengthen their squad with a swap deal.

With two of Italy’s biggest clubs interested and Zirkzee still admired in Serie A, the Dutchman’s future could be one of the most talked-about stories of the winter market.
