Juventus and Inter Milan are once again locked in a transfer tug-of war this time over highly rated Venezia forward Alvin Okoro, one of the most promising young attackers in Italy.

Both clubs are eager to secure the services of the Italo-Nigerian striker, with competition heating up following Inter’s launch of their new B-team in Serie C.

Juventus, the pioneers of second teams in Italian football with Juventus Next Gen, are now looking to strengthen their developmental project by adding Okoro to the ranks.

Born in Vicenza, Okoro began his youth career at Pordenone before joining Venezia in 2022.

After making waves at youth level, the 20-year-old was loaned to Vis Pesaro in Serie C last season, where he impressed with his physicality, skill, and goal-scoring instinct.

His performances prompted Vis Pesaro to push for a permanent transfer, but Venezia recalled him, indicating their belief in his potential.

Now, with Serie B football on the horizon, the club must decide whether to integrate him into Giovanni Stroppa’s first team or cash in on his rising value.

Inter have reportedly made a concrete approach to sign Okoro outright, while Juventus are proposing a loan deal with an option to buy, which could convert into an obligation if certain performance-related conditions are met. This mirrors Juve’s risk-averse transfer strategy, especially when targeting young talent.

In addition to the Serie A giants, Pescara, Mantova, and Juve Stabia have also expressed interest in acquiring Okoro, either on loan or permanently.

However, none are likely to match the pull or the resources of Juventus and Inter.

This latest rivalry between Juve and Inter reflects a broader competition that has spilled into the development leagues.

With Inter now determined to avoid the short-lived fate of Milan Futuro, who were relegated from Serie C after just one season, they are eager to load their new B-team with top-tier young talent.

Okoro, a dual-national player with international potential, may prove to be a key addition for whichever club lands him.
