Juventus’ hopes of keeping Randal Kolo Muani for the 2025/26 season are facing a major hurdle as talks with Paris Saint-Germain have hit a wall over the transfer formula.
The French striker joined Juventus in January on a dry loan until the end of the season. With both clubs agreeing to extend the arrangement until the conclusion of the FIFA Club World Cup, further negotiations were scheduled for the summer to decide the player’s future.
However, according to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, discussions have been unproductive so far, with both sides failing to agree on the structure of the deal.
PSG are pushing for either a permanent transfer or a loan deal with an obligation to buy, whereas Juventus are only offering a loan with an option to buy something the French champions are unwilling to accept.
Despite the deadlock, Kolo Muani has made it clear that he wants to continue in Turin. The 26-year-old has impressed during his brief spell and hopes for a long-term stay with the Bianconeri.
While trying to resolve the Kolo Muani situation, Juventus are not standing still. The club has already reached an agreement with Jonathan David, who is set to join on a free transfer. The Canadian forward is scheduled to undergo a medical on Friday before signing a five-year contract.
In addition, Juventus remain interested in Napoli star Victor Osimhen. Should the Nigerian arrive in Turin, it would likely spell the end of Kolo Muani’s chances of a permanent stay.
Another major consideration for Juventus is the future of Dusan Vlahović. The club is actively seeking to offload the Serbian striker due to his high wages, which could free up space and resources for new signings.
As it stands, Juventus and PSG are expected to resume talks in the coming days, but unless one side makes a significant concession, Kolo Muani’s future remains uncertain.
