Juventus remains keen on securing the services of David Hancko, with their scouting efforts continuing despite the club’s recent exit from the UEFA Champions League.
As the team shifts focus toward securing a top-four finish in Serie A to guarantee qualification for next season’s Champions League, preparations for future reinforcements are already underway.
The Slovakian defender, currently playing for Feyenoord, has been on Juventus’ radar for months. Although the club opted to sign Kelly during the January transfer window, Hancko has remained a prime target.
Juventus took another step in their pursuit by sending a scout to observe him during Feyenoord’s recent match against AC Milan at San Siro.
Juventus’ management, led by sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, aims to finalize Hancko’s transfer in the summer window, which aligns with the registration period for teams participating in the FIFA Club World Cup.
According to Ilbianconero, Juventus is preparing an offer of approximately €22-23 million, supplemented by performance related bonuses. Additionally, the defender is expected to receive a five year contract, earning €2.5 million per season plus incentives.
Thiago Motta, who is heavily involved in Juventus’ recruitment plans, is reportedly a strong advocate for bringing Hancko to Turin.
The club had already reached an understanding with the player’s representatives during a meeting in December, held during Juventus’ clash against Manchester City. While Hancko remained in the Netherlands during the winter transfer period, he continues to be a priority for Juventus.
Liverpool has also expressed interest in the defender, potentially creating competition for his signature. However, Juventus is determined to accelerate negotiations and solidify their position in the race for the highly rated center-back.
With the summer transfer window approaching, Juventus will look to complete this deal as they reinforce their squad for the challenges ahead.
