Juventus closing in on singing a forward as optimism grows
Juventus are growing increasingly confident of securing a permanent return for French forward Randal Kolo Muani, with the gap in valuation between the Bianconeri and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly narrowing.
Recent contacts between the two clubs have brought them closer to an agreement. While a final deal has yet to be confirmed, PSG have reportedly reduced their asking price to around €50 million.
Juventus’ improved offers are said to be approaching that figure, bringing the clubs within reach of a compromise. Despite interest from the Premier League—particularly from Tottenham—Juventus remain optimistic.
The club sees Kolo Muani as a top target, and the player himself is reportedly keen on returning to Italy, showing little interest in offers from England.
Deal Structure Still Under Discussion
Negotiations are said to be progressing toward a loan deal with a purchase clause.
Juventus have proposed a structure with an easily activated option to buy, while PSG are pushing for an obligation to buy, offering them greater financial certainty. This remains a key sticking point.
Nonetheless, relations between the two clubs are described as strong, and Kolo Muani is reportedly continuing to express his desire to rejoin Juventus. He has turned down other opportunities, prioritizing a future in Turin.
Expected Timeline and Current Status
Kolo Muani is not expected to take part in Juventus’ pre-season training retreat in Germany. Instead, he is likely to report to the training centre in Continassa before mid-August, ahead of the new Serie A season.
Juventus general manager Damien Comolli has stated that talks with PSG are proceeding smoothly and that the club remains confident, even if a deal takes time to finalize.
Kolo Muani, 26, joined Juventus on loan from PSG in January 2025, scoring eight goals and providing one assist in 16 Serie A appearances.
The loan, initially set to end in June, was extended to cover the Club World Cup. A permanent decision is still pending.
PSG remain cautious due to their initial €90 million investment in the player and are seeking a structure that ensures they recover most of that value. Juventus, on the other hand, continue to push for a more flexible agreement.
