Juventus have officially announced the first match of their 2025/26 pre-season campaign, confirming a friendly against Reggiana on August 2. The game will be held behind closed doors, but fans will still be able to watch the action live on DAZN.
The Bianconeri’s pre-season preparations are kicking off slightly later than usual, following their recent participation in the Club World Cup.
Both Juventus and Inter Milan were granted an extended break due to their international commitments, with Juve scheduled to return to training on July 24.
While some Serie A rivals have already resumed training, Juventus are confident that the short time off will not affect their sharpness, thanks to the team’s competitive match rhythm from the tournament.
The club views the upcoming match against Reggiana as the first step in a carefully planned pre-season schedule aimed at building momentum ahead of a demanding Serie A title race.
The Reggiana fixture will serve as an important platform for evaluating the physical and tactical readiness of players after their break.
It will also give the coaching staff a chance to assess young talents, new signings, and players returning from injury or loan spells.
While fans won’t be in the stands, the match being broadcast live ensures that supporters can still get a glimpse of the team’s early form and what to expect in the months ahead.
hough Juventus will likely not be at full capacity for their early matches, the goal is to build fitness, cohesion, and confidence throughout the pre-season.
With additional friendlies expected to be announced soon, the club is working to ensure a balanced and competitive squad enters the season ready to challenge on all fronts.
