Juventus are preparing for a change between the posts as Mattia Perin is expected to leave the club this summer.

In response, the Bianconeri are reportedly considering a move to bring back a familiar face — former youth product Emil Audero.

After Wojciech Szczęsny’s departure last year, Michele Di Gregorio was brought in to assume the No.1 role and quickly established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper.

This left Perin in his usual backup position, where he still managed to impress during his limited appearances.

However, the 31-year-old shot-stopper is keen on securing a more prominent role at another club.

According to reports from the Italian press, Perin has attracted interest from Fenerbahçe, AC Milan, and Bologna, making his departure from Turin this summer increasingly likely.

With Perin on the verge of leaving, Juventus are looking to bolster their goalkeeping department with a reliable second-choice option. The club is seriously considering bringing back Emil Audero.

The 28-year-old began his career at Juventus, serving as a third-choice keeper before departing in 2017.

Audero then made his name at Sampdoria, and later joined Inter Milan on loan for the 2023/24 season, where he acted as understudy to Yann Sommer.

After Inter, Audero joined newly promoted Como in the summer of 2024. However, he struggled to secure a starting spot under manager Cesc Fàbregas and was subsequently loaned to Palermo for the second half of the season.

Now back at Como and under contract until 2028, Audero’s future remains uncertain, and a move back to Juventus could be on the cards as the club seeks an experienced backup.

Notably, Audero has also made headlines internationally. Although he represented Italy at the youth level, his Indonesian heritage recently allowed him to acquire an Indonesian passport and make his debut for the Southeast Asian nation.
