Juventus appears ready to part ways with Timothy Weah for just €13 million—a price that has raised eyebrows among analysts and supporters alike, given the American international’s age, marketability, and potential.

Speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, journalist Matteo Moretto confirmed that Olympique Marseille is pushing hard to secure the winger’s services.

Moretto revealed that Weah is entirely out of Juventus’ plans along with Douglas Luiz, and that both clubs are now working to finalize a permanent transfer.

“Let’s talk about Juventus because, as you know, Douglas Luiz and Weah are completely out of the club’s plans, and Marseille is pushing strongly for Weah,” said Moretto.

“There have even been talks in the last few hours. Timothy Weah only wants Marseille. Both sides want to find a solution, and I’m being told the transfer would be permanent.

“The fee should be around €13 million. In any case, it’s below €15 million. Marseille is willing to make an economic sacrifice to get Weah. I expect the deal to be resolved soon.”

The proposed fee aligns with earlier reporting from outlets like TuttoMercatoWeb and Blasting News, which cited similar figures.

However, some at Juventus reportedly hoped for at least €15 million. The club prefers a clean sale now, possibly to help finance bigger targets.

Weah’s contract with Juventus runs until 2028, but he has struggled to find space under new manager Igor Tudor.

Despite initial interest from Nottingham Forest, Weah has made it clear that he only wants to join Marseille—a move motivated by a desire for playing time ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Sources suggest Marseille will not raise their offer beyond €13 million. Whether Juventus compromises or insists on a higher amount remains to be seen.

Juventus is determined to offload several players—Douglas Luiz, Arthur, and Nico Gonzalez among them—to fund the signings of top targets like Jadon Sancho.

Weah and Douglas Luiz are said to be firmly out of Tudor’s tactical roadmap, making them priorities in a shrinking of the squad.
