Juventus are reportedly showing interest in Crystal Palace’s standout wing-back Daniel Muñoz, who has been “under consideration” as the Italian giants look to strengthen their defense this summer.

Muñoz’s potential move to Turin depends largely on key player exits within the Juventus squad. The club is preparing for the likely departures of Timothy Weah, Nicolo Savona, and Alberto Costa, all of whom play in the right-back position.

Since his arrival from Genk in January 2024, Daniel Muñoz has made a strong impression at Selhurst Park.

Under manager Oliver Glasner, the Colombian international scored four goals and provided six assists in the 2024/25 Premier League season, cementing his place as a reliable and dynamic option on the right flank.

His performances have not gone unnoticed in Europe, with Juventus now exploring the possibility of signing the 29-year-old.

While Muñoz is on Juventus’ radar, signing him won’t be straightforward. Crystal Palace extended his contract just this past April, signaling that the club sees him as part of their long-term project.

There is no public asking price yet, but Palace are unlikely to let him go cheaply.

Meanwhile, Juventus are also dealing with outgoing transfer negotiations. Alberto Costa, who joined the club only last summer, is being targeted by Portuguese side Sporting CP.

Although Juventus rejected Sporting’s initial offer, they remain open to selling Costa if the deal brings a capital gain, which could then be reinvested in a new right-back possibly Muñoz.

Juventus are expected to keep a close eye on the availability of right-backs in the coming weeks, with Muñoz now one of the leading names under review.

However, any move will likely be delayed until some of the current squad members are offloaded.

For now, Daniel Muñoz remains an important piece of Crystal Palace’s defensive puzzle  but that could change if Juventus accelerate their summer shake-up.
