Juventus isn’t just focusing on signing a striker this summer Cristiano Giuntoli, the club’s sporting director, has made it clear that Juventus plans to strengthen all areas of the squad aiming to bring in at least two or three key players before the new season.

While the spotlight remains on attackers like Mateo Retegui, Rasmus Hojlund, and possibly Randal Kolo Muani to replace Dusan Vlahovic, another name has emerged for the defense: Dodo, the right-back from Fiorentina.

Dodo, born in 1998, had a strong season with Fiorentina. He helped the team finish sixth in the Serie A table and reach the UEFA Conference League again.

The Brazilian defender played 46 matches, totaling nearly 3,900 minutes, and assisted six goals.

His future at Fiorentina is now uncertain. He has been offered a contract extension but hasn’t responded yet, and sources suggest he’s seriously considering a move to Juventus.

Fiorentina’s sporting director, Daniele Pradé, recently said in a press conference:

“We gave him the offer he wanted. Now it’s up to him to respond. We’re not worried.”

Dodo still has two years left on his contract, but reports from Tuscany say he’s not happy with how long the renewal talks have dragged on and might want to leave this summer.

If Dodo decides to leave, Juventus won’t be alone in the race. Top clubs like Liverpool, Inter Milan, and Barcelona have already shown interest. Still, Juventus sees him as a strong option to boost their defense.

Fiorentina is reportedly asking for around €25 million for the player. More updates are expected soon as the summer transfer window progresses.
