Juventus are reportedly looking to solve a growing midfield problem by proposing a swap deal with Fenerbahce involving Sofyan Amrabat and Douglas Luiz.

The situation with Luiz has become tense after the former Aston Villa star failed to show up for pre-season training without providing the club any explanation.

His unexplained absence will lead to disciplinary action, including a fine and possible exclusion from the squad.

However, offloading Luiz won’t be easy. Juventus signed him less than a year ago, and selling for under €40 million would result in a financial loss.

With limited interest from Premier League sides like Nottingham Forest and Everton, and no concrete offers yet, the Bianconeri are now considering alternatives.

Juventus are hoping Turkish giants Fenerbahce will step in. Their idea is to offer Luiz to Fenerbahce while bringing in Sofyan Amrabat, a midfielder more in line with manager Igor Tudor’s tactical needs.

Amrabat, who previously played for Fiorentina, is currently with Fenerbahce and could be open to a return to Serie A.

There could be an added layer to the deal. Filip Kostić, who spent last season on loan at Fenerbahce, may also be included as part of a broader exchange.

Fenerbahce reportedly remain interested in retaining the Serbian winger permanently.

Luiz’s camp has notified Juventus of his willingness to join the squad at their training camp early next week perhaps a sign of reconciliation, or just a move to preserve his value in the market.

As Juventus look to rebuild their midfield under Tudor, a potential Amrabat-Luiz-Kostić swap could offer a tidy solution to multiple problems. However, talks remain at an early stage with no deal finalized yet.
