Juventus eyes €20m-rated striker as January transfer opportunity for Vlahovic backup

Juventus is reportedly setting sights on Lyon’s Georges Mikautadze as they look to address their struggling attack in the upcoming January transfer window.

The Georgian striker has caught Juventus’s attention after a stunning performance, including a goal against Angers that has gone viral, showcasing his dribbling and shooting prowess.

The Bianconeri are currently facing a shortage up front with Arkadiusz Milik sidelined due to injury.

Moreover, Dusan Vlahovic, who has been Juventus’s primary striker, recently returned from an injury that caused him to miss several games, leaving the team without a reliable backup.

This situation has underscored the urgent need for reinforcements in the attacking department.

Mikautadze, who transferred to Lyon from Metz for €18.5 million just months ago, has quickly proven his worth with his technical skills and ability to score from difficult positions.

Born on October 31, 2000, the 176 cm tall forward brings a unique combination of physicality, speed, and technique to the game.

His capacity to attack spaces, hold up play, and disrupt defenses with his movement could provide Juventus with the attacking depth they desperately need.

Lyon’s financial difficulties, coupled with the threat of relegation, might force them to consider offers for their young star, potentially at a bargain price of around €20 million.

This scenario presents Juventus with a golden opportunity to secure a player who could not only serve as an immediate backup for Vlahovic but also add creativity and flair to their frontline.
